15th Katti: [Voice/Action]

[Lyn has so far managed to avoid direct combat with any of the huge monstrosities rampaging around Luceti. She's taken on a couple zombies and the like, but nothing really serious.

That run of good luck just ended. She is now facing down two giants, both of which are tearing up the earth trying to get at her. She's never been so glad for the abilities of the spirits before, as she uses Kipinn to narrowly dodge away from each Titan's attacks.

Her journal has fallen to the side and flopped open to record the scene, but she's unaware of it and so isn't yelling for help. Instead:

Come and take me, you enormous beasts!

[Goroh happened to be passing by, since he's been known to occasionally beat up these monsters. Mostly it's not any sense of wanting to protect the village, but refusing to remain in the confines of 'safety'. However when he sees one of his fellow draftees out fighting two monsters way out of her league, he deems that it's better he get involved. Which is why, before engaging them with sword, one of the titans will be suddenly hit by a powerful laser blast from his blaster, knocking the brute back a few feet from the concussive force. Goroh will be standing several yards away, taking aim at the second one.]

[The FF IV titan staggers away from the blow, and Lyn's head snaps to the side to see who's responsible, along with the other giant. Recognizing Goroh, Lyn's morale gets a boost, and she grips her sword and takes a swing at the titan that's still close to her, gashing it's leg a bit. It roars in pain and fury and turns its eyes back to her, which should probably give Goroh all the time he needs to fire off a second blast.]

[With that morale boost, they are destined to have a support conversation after this. But before that happens, Goroh fires off another blast at the second titan before holstering his gun, switching to his sword just as the IV titan is getting to his feet. Goroh's sword cuts into it's leg deeply, sliding through the monster's body as if it was paper and it falls over once more.]

[It will be one of the more amusing support conversations out there. In the meantime, Lyn's channeling wind energy into her sword to counter the earth-based Titans, slicing into the VII one pretty handily as she manages to drop it to the ground. Of course, simple sword slices aren't going to be enough to bring them down so easily, and both titans are starting to get up again...]

[Speak for yourself, woman! Before his can get up, Goroh is leaping onto IV's chest and swinging his sword rapidly into its chest. It's a thick, stubborn bastard, but he's digging to a point where he can plant a good blaster attack in it. At least if he can do it before those flailing arms grab him.]

[Lyn'd help you out Goroh, but she's got to pay attention to the other beastie as it begins to lift itself up. A blast of wind fired from her sword hits its arm and makes it slip, giving her a chance to run up to it's chest.

But when she arrives, she finds a much more interesting target than the Titan's heart. Buried in its chest is a small red sphere, almost imperceptible in the massive bulk of the summon. Experimentally, she stabs it.

The howl of pain is a pretty good indicator that it's a weak spot (actually it's the materia keeping the Titan bound to Luceti, but eh, details).

[In the meantime, Goroh has done the damage he wanted to and batted away the arms by giving the fingers a few powerful slices that nearly took the fingers off altogether. Once he has a good clean shot, he takes it, setting the blaster to its maximum charge and firing it straight into the heart of the beast.

With a horrible roar of pain, the creature does not get back up. That should take care of it.]
